Canada, ON: Kensington Brewing Company reportedly shutters both of its locations
Kensington Brewing Company has reportedly shuttered both of its locations after being acquired by another Toronto brewery, the Canadian Beer News reported on April 24.
BlogTO reports that the brewerys original location which opened in 2017 in Torontos Kensington Market, as well as its second location that was launched three years later in Vaughan, have both closed in recent weeks with no official announcement.
Also never officially announced was the purchase of Kensington by Mascot Brewery, which originally opened in 2015 as a brewpub in Torontos Entertainment District, before relocating in 2019 to a production brewery in Etobicoke and a bar and restaurant on King Street West.
A Mascot representative confirmed to BlogTO that Kensington is closed for renovations and that they have plans to re-open at some point in the future, although its not clear if that applies to both locations, and if theyll keep the Kensington name or will be rebranded as Mascot.
